West Vancouver, British Columbia – June 10, 2008 – Columbia Yukon Explorations Inc. (the “Company” or “Columbia Yukon”) is pleased to report that its 2008 core drilling program continues to yield positive initial results. As recently reported, drilling began in late May and thus far the Company has completed two core drill holes (ST08-97 and ST08-98).
Drill hole ST08-97 is located 50 metres west of one of last year’s drill holes (ST07-96) and was drilled to a depth of 407 metres. Visible flakes, grains and disseminated molybdenite were observed in the core from the top to the bottom of the drill hole.
Drill hole ST08-98 was drilled 50 metres west of ST06-11 (which was drilled in 2006). At this location an outcrop containing significant molybdenite mineralization was most recently discovered (see News Release dated June 4, 2008). Drill hole ST08-98 was drilled to a depth of 359 metres and molybdenite mineralization was observed in the core from the top to the bottom of the drill hole. Near the top of the drill hole extensive fracture fill molybdenite mineralization (similar to that of the outcrop discovery) was observed in the core.
